The Smokies will be holding an auction for game worn gray road jerseys. The jerseys were worn on field during the 2009, 2010, and 2011 seasons and are a gray jersey with the Ts logo on upper left chest in navy outlined by red tackle twill with red on navy tackle twill numbers on lower right chest. Red on Navy tackle twill numbers are on the back of the jerseys. The jerseys also include navy inset over the shoulders. A Cubs patch is on one sleeve and a 10 (Ron Santo) patch is on the other.
Bids will be accepted at Smokies Park and over the Internet. Internet bids will be closed at 10:00 am EST on Sunday August 28th. Fans at the August 28th game will have the final chance to bid on the jerseys. Fans in attendance on August 28th, who make winning bids, will be called down onto the field to get a photo taken with the player whose jersey they purchased (if possible). The Jerseys will not be able to be picked up until after the Southern League playoffs are over. Jerseys will be autographed (unless otherwise noted) by the player and come with a letter of authenticity. A photo ID must be presented when the jersey is picked up and payment must be made on August 28th. Shipping and handling charges ($8.50) of will be added to bids that must be mailed in the US. (International shipping will vary) Payment may be made by using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, or cash.
