The Smokies will be holding an auction for game worn Light Blue Alternative Jerseys. The Jerseys were worn on field during the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Seasons and are a Light Blue Jersey with Smokies across the chest in Navy outline on red tackle twill with Navy on red tackle twill numbers on the lower right Chest. The Back of the Jersey includes the players' last name and their number in navy on red tackle twill. The jerseys also include navy inserts and red piping on the shoulders. There is a Cubs patch on the left sleeve and the 2012 Southern League All-Star Patch on the right sleeve.
Bids will be accepted at Smokies Park and over the Internet. Internet bids will be closed at 10:00 am EST on Sunday August 26th. Fans at the August 26th game against the Mobile BayBears will have the final chance to bid on the Jerseys. Fans in attendance on August 26th, who make winning bids, will be called down onto the field to get a photo taken with the players whose jersey they purchased (if possible). The Jerseys will not be available for pickup until after the conclusion on the 2012 Season. Jerseys will be autographed (unless otherwise noted) by the player and comes with a letter of authenticity. A photo ID must be presented when the jersey is picked up and payment must be made on August 26th. Shipping and handling charges ($8.50) will be added to bids that must be mailed in the US (International shipping will vary). Payment may be made by using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, or Cash.
